Beowulf response

In the story, Beowulf is faced with many very epic challenges. In my life, I have also been faced with many challenges. Though mine are not as epic as the ones that beowulf has encountered they still effect my life in a great way. One of my biggest personal "monsters" that I deal with is spreading myself too thin. It's always been my desire to do everything and wanting to do it all. From playing basketball to doing homework and schoolwork and in between that trying to manage some kind of social life. I have found that I need to sacrifice some things like my social in order to succeed in what is most important to me. This might not seem like a big deal but it's hard (especially when you're a teenager). But i do make sacrifices like this because I love basketball and I think it's worth it. To me, there is no greater feeling after winning a big game or perfecting a new move. I also think that playing basketball has helped me to face my challenges head on. When you're in a slump, no one can help you make a shot, or work out for you, or even go to practice for you. You have to do it yourself. And i think that this attitude of taking things head on has spilled into all aspects of my life and has helped me to face my other "monsters" iand challenges.
